Tell me about the most terrifying experience you’ve ever been through. Is it related to your fears, or was it simply terrifying on its own?

Adriwyn took in a deep breath, and slowly released it, blowing at her bangs, as she took a pensive pose on the nearest chair. ‘That’s… hmm. The most terrifying… I’m trying to think of things, and a lot of things happened that really terrified me at the time… but my memories have… dulled, I guess. My second adoptive family, when my new father decided that a cat-o’-nine-tails and a literal bloody mess of a girl’s back was the right punishment for not knowing what a spanner was… that probably was the worst at the time. I mostly only remember it like it happened to someone else, though, and I haven’t noticed it showing up in my nightmares or anything for a long time.’ She shrugs, sighing again as she ponders a bit more.

‘Probably, the time I got kidnapped out of Lyssa’s shrine in the Reach and held for ransom… at least that still pops up in my nightmares….’

The pale blonde fidgeted, then leaned up against a support to nurse her drink a bit, thinking over the question.

‘I’m not sure I know, despite how many times I’ve been asked about strength. The best I’ve ever come up with… isn’t really very satisfying as a response, but I still can’t think of anything better. It’s… being stubborn enough in your principles that you can’t be pulled off them. That’s not just a belief in them – it’s making them so much a part of you that they help shape and define your behaviour even when belief is worn away.’
